In September by friend Melody of Melody Ann Photography took our annual family pics. She always does a fabulous job! I remember having a heat wave that day (heat index was right around 100), and there was no way Chris was doing to wear the sweater we had planned. The shirt he ended up using worked well though. :)

Jacob's 3rd Birthday Party
It is hard to belive that our little guy just turned 3! Wait, did we just bring him home from the hospital!?! Jacob had a fun "train" themed birthday party. I keep using the same ideas or themes I used for Matthews parties, but it worked out well since he is really into trains right now. :)

Halloween 2013
This year we hosted Halloween at our house with our Life Group from Church. It was so fun! The kids had a great time Trick or Treating, and I had a blast planning/decorating/making food for the party. The theme for our family costumes this year was "superheros".
House decor...
Mantle...
Pinterest inspired "spider" straws...
Food...
I made the "Halloween Bark" by Pioneer Woman, and "Candy Corn" sugar cookies from Our Best Bites ahead of time...
"Spooky" layer dip...
"Candy Corn" Punch...
Spider Woman!
Superman and Batman...
Chris was cool enough to go as Robin to Matthew's Batman... ;)
Being "super"...
The Rossols as "Google Maps"...directions from their place to ours...clever!
The Rossol family...
The Dohertys...
The Fries "Charlie Brown" inspired outfits...
The Olsens...
The Rynnes rocked it as "Despicable Me"...awesome family concept!
Kiddos at the party...

Update Catch Up!
Oh my! Has it really been 6 months since I last blogged!?! Life I tell ya. Well, to catch you all up, here is a quick recap of Summer to early Fall events...
We had a fun time in Destin Florida in early June with my whole family...
Celebrating the 4th of July...
Fun times at Magic Waters...
Matthew's 1st Day of Kindergarten!!!
Here he is getting on the bus...sniff, sniff...
Matthew also lost his first tooth the first week of school!
We took a quick family get-away to the Indiana Dunes in early September...
In late September, we flew to GA to surprise my Father for his 70th birthday!
The following weekend at the beginning of October, we surprised my Grandmother with a 90th birhday celebration in IN!
I also turned 39 at the end of October (we are not thinking about next years birthday, haha). Chris surprised me with a wonderful dinner out and ticket to see "Hello Dolly" at the Coronado Theather...
