Happy 4th Birthday Matthew!

We can hardly believe that our little guy is 4 years old!  What a blessing he is.  Matthew had a fun birthday celebrating at school, and I was also able to go and help celebrate with him.  It was a great time with his classmates and seeing their festivities when someone has a birthday.  Here he is at school ready for the day to begin...

This is the fun "Birthday Cake" song they sing at school.  I was beginning to wonder if Matthew already had a sugary cake from the way he was bouncing off the walls the entire song! :)

I picked up some fun "monster" cupcakes for his birthday at SugarJones Bakery...

Happy 4th Birthday Matthew!!

Valentines Yummies!

I had fun creating a "heart" shaped food them for Valentines Day meals!  Here is what I created...all Pinterest inspired...

Breakfast:  Heart-shaped Egg-in-the-Hole

Lunch:  For Matthew, and per his request, a jelly sandwich with a heart-shaped cut out, sprinkles, and strawberry milk...

Dinner:  Heart-shaped pizza with heart-shaped pepperoni, pink smoothie, and a heart-shaped red velvet cake from SugarJones Bakery...

Here are the adorable "I Dig You" Valentines I made for Matthew's classmates, complete with mini shovel and all!

And here is Matthew with his loot of cards and goodies from school!

Neighborhood Sledding

What a difference 24 hours can make!  It has been quite a wild winter here...very mild at times, then WHAM, and whole bunch of snow...then another thaw out. Such was the case in January, when I took some video of Matthew riding his new kick board he got for Christmas in our neighborhood.  It was a very sunny 50+ degree day.  Here he is, in all his dare devil glory...

And Here he is, 24 hours later, sledding on the same hill!  (What is funny is that he wiped out at the same place the day before!)

The boys are ready to sled!

Jacob was liking it!

Chris and Matthew having fun...

The boys and I...

And what is better than having hot chocolate after sledding?  This is an awesome recipe from Our Best Bites blog for S'mores Hot Chocolate...YUM!
