This is my funny attempt at a picture idea I saw on Pinterest.  Many thanks to my friend Kelly Berg for taking the pic.  We'll get the lighting right next year! :)

December Happenings...

Falling behind on blogging again!  It's almost Christmas, so I should post a quick update on all the December "happenings" worth mentioning thus far.  Call it a "month in review" if you will... ;)

I was the "Mystery Guest" in Matthew's classroom at school earlier in the month...so fun!

We went downtown Chicago one busy Saturday afternoon for our yearly trek to see the windows at Macy's (the old Marshall Fields)...

The boys having fun viewing the windows...

We went low key this year and went to Home Depot for a Christmas tree...

We also ending the vacation days Chris had by spending time in GA visiting my family.  Despite me being sick the whole time, we had fun.  Here is Matthew fishing for the first time on the Soque River...

A few of Matthew and his crazy "twin" cousin Hope.  They are 12 days apart in age...

Thanksgiving and Festivites

Thanksgiving week was a whirlwind.  Do to a mix up, I ended up with 4 boxes of refrigerated pie shells, so I offered to make 3 pies for Thanksgiving.  I made an apple, pecan, and chocolate-bourbon pecan.  All yummy!  Plus a strueseled sweet potato casserole!  Earlier in the week, we made these cute teepee cupcakes with the boys.  They loved it!  Such a fun, cute, and edible Thanksgiving craft!

The teepees...

Lots of fun sprinkles...

The boys enjoying them...

Jacob approved! :)

Quick family pic on Thanksgiving when Chris got off work!

That Sunday Jacob officially turned 2!

I picked up some cream horns at the store to celebrate... :)

I am so blessed to be Mom to these two boys...

Jacob's 2nd "Sock Monkey" Birthday Party!

Our sweet little T-day baby is 2!  I am still finding it hard to believe.  These past two years have gone by so fast.  Jacob has brought so much joy to your lives.  We are thankful to God everyday for his life, and for blessing us with him.

Here are some decorations I did for his party.  I love that I am reusing most of the stuff I used for Matthew's 2nd birthday party.  Makes planning J's parties so much easier!

The totally awesome cake by my friend Kynda of Cake Whimsy by Kynda Lynn...

Close up of monkey... :)

The cake was made to match the invites...

Cute matching water bottle labels as well...

How adorable are the back's of the labels?!? ;)

Jacob and I...

I took this exact picture of Matthew holding the balloons on his 2nd birthday...

I reused the banner I made for Matthew's party as well.  Didn't have the heart to paint over his name, so I just printed out Jacob's name and taped over it!

Ready to party!

The cake was to die for!  Banana cake with both fluffer nutter and banana cream filling, with butter cream frosting!
