We are Expecting!

Yes, it was a complete shock to us!  After almost 10 years of infertility, and 2 previous miscarriages, we were stunned to learn I was pregnant again!  It has been a rough first trimester.  I was diagnosed with a subchorionic hematoma, which is basically a blood clot in the uterus, near the baby.  It has caused many bleeding episodes, 2 trips to the ER, and more emergency ultrasounds than I would like to count. (Just thinking about our medical bills from the past month, yikes!) God has been so faithful through all of this.  We want to give Him all the glory.  Everytime the baby looks great with a strong heart beat.  I might be dealing with this condition the entire pregnancy.  I also have a strict no lifting anything over 10 pounds restriction, and have been told to take things easy.  So hard to do with a playful 2 year old in the house!  We have been blessed so greatly by many family and friends who have helped us out, espescially when Chris is away at work.  I have been given 3 due dates by the doctors...November 28th, 29th, and 30th.  So I guess we'll go with the 29th, until I hear otherwise.  A Thanksgiving baby!

Don't want to bore everyone with every ultrasound pic, but here are two of the latest.  So cool you can see baby's face and fingers in one!

Baby:  12 weeks, 4 days

Me, and my growing belly!  Seriously starting to show already.  Gotta love the "Are you fat or pregnant?" stage...

Congrats again, Beth!! Such happy news... and you aren't going to bore anyone with ultrasound pictures - I think everyone will LOVE hearing any and all updates.

Ohhh! That's why you have the adoption button on your blog, I didn't even put it together. Now that I think back I think I remember someone telling me that you had adopted. It's all coming together now. Matthew just looks like you guys so I never thought about it. Isn't it amazing that God puts blessings in your life like Matthew and he looks like you and your husband. Very cool! I bet he'll be excited to be a big brother.
